After a series of failed attempts by various teams, we were approached by Justin Hemmes of Merivale and his key architects and designers, Akin and Amanda Talbot, to create the brand identity that this spectacular NSW venue deserved.
The concept for The Newport was to look and feel like a festival where you can wander around, trying all sorts of food from different specialty vendors and The Newport restaurants. A gathering place that encourages a long languid and fun day that stretches into the evening.
Each area needed its own distinct identity design, yet still had to work cohesively under the overarching branding for The Newport. So we created The Newport branding from the ground up, with all the different components, and design elements sitting under this larger brand umbrella. This included everything from brand logos and identities to menu design for the various vendors, including the Seafood Market, The Shack, The Kiosk, Vinnie’s Pizza, and the Cocktail Cabin.
